The writ of election was issued Friday, January 9, 2026. That means the General Election will be held on February 10.
But the election that matters most in this race is what is called a “firehouse primary” organized by the Alexandria Democratic Committee. That Election is likely to be Tuesday, January 12.
Do you know if you live in Virginia’s 39th Senate District?
If you live in the City of Alexandria, you live in the district.

If you live in the Crystal City area of Arlington or the Bailey’s Crossroads area of Fairfax County, you are likely to be in the district as well. I respectfully ask for your vote.
